In 2019, The Aiken Horse Park Foundation was pleased to introduce Aiken’s first Eventing Showcase, held at Bruce’s Field March 1-2. The following, consecutive events in 2020 -2024 have solidified the GPE as a staple of the winter eventing season.
Grand-Prix Eventing At Bruce’s Field has become the highlight of Aiken’s winter equestrian season. It is able to showcase this fabulous sport in the heart of historic Aiken and generate enthusiasm among equestrian and non-equestrians alike. Grand-Prix Eventing is the fulcrum that shines a bright light on this community by attracting many of the world’s best competitors. Your sponsorship is vital to the future of this event and horse sports in Aiken.
To date the event has worked with 32 national and local non-profit organizations and awarded over $60,000 to our charitable partners. The competition has attracted riders from 9 different countries, including 13 Olympians and international super stars William Fox-Pitt & Austin O'Connor, and awarded over $350,000 in prize money to the competitors. In 2021 all four of the horse and rider combinations that went on to travel to Tokyo for the Olympics competed at the showcase. All 5 of the 2022 FEI World Championships US Squad have made an appearance at the Aiken Showcase. Just this past year in 2024, we saw GPE champions, Boyd Martin, Liz Halliday, and Will Coleman all named to the Paris Olympic Team.
We are excited to continue our partnership with Horse and Country TV to provide professional livestream coverage of the 2025 GPE. Sponsors will experience enhanced exposure and marketing opportunities. We believe that the focus on livestreaming is an advantage to sponsorships, as many more people are still staying closer to home and looking for entertainment through online platforms thus boosting online exposure. Horse and Country’s broad viewership across numerous online platforms will deliver a positive return on sponsorship.
